Use MeetSafe Alongside Your Own Safety Plan
MeetSafe can help structure check-ins and follow-up with people you choose. It cannot guarantee safety, guarantee message delivery, or guarantee that a responder will be available.
Choose Contacts Carefully
- Only add trusted contacts who agree to be contacted.
- Make sure your contacts know what to do if they receive an alert.
- Keep contact details current before relying on a check-in.
Responsible Use
- Do not use MeetSafe to prank, harass, or message unwilling recipients.
- Do not treat MeetSafe as live safety supervision or a substitute for local emergency services.
- Use clear notes and realistic times so your trusted contact understands the plan.
Before You Rely On A Check-In
- Keep your phone charged and connected.
- Test notification permissions before relying on the app.
- Check network availability where you expect to be.
- Have a separate plan for urgent help.
SMS Fallback
SMS fallback may be available for eligible Pro or test-Pro users, but it is a backup, not a guarantee. Delivery can fail or be delayed due to plan eligibility, runtime settings, provider availability, mobile networks, device settings, carrier filtering, and recipient availability.
